The inaugural Fort Yuma Rotary new member orientation meeting was held on March 15th. The meeting was held after work at Mohave State Bank.

Membership committees have been working on this project for years. YEARS! The current membership committee has stuck with it and now has a program put together.  A big pat on the back for the committee! Great job!

Membership committee members presented Rotary information to our newest members. The new members in attendance were Jan Esch, Arturo Gomez, Annette Lagunas, Janelle Johnson and Karen Velasquez.  Janelle even dragged her husband Paul to the meeting to learn more about Rotary.  A true Rotarian Spouse in training!

Dan Montoya led the presentation and talked about why individuals join Rotary & what we all expect from it.

Jolynn Pangerl gave a brief overview of Club Runner. She showed everyone how to access our web page & how to maneuver around once in there. Club Runner is a great tool for learning about our club, staying in touch and for keeping your membership data current.

Dan wrapped up the meeting with a few reminders and tips for getting the most out of Rotary.

A big thank you to the membership committee for putting this together. Besides Dan & Jolynn, Karen Ferguson & Jan Esch helped put the meeting together. The great food came from Burgers & Beer-thank you Jaime.

Everett Lacy and Brian Geren were also in attendance to get a Rotary brush-up.

More meetings will be planned in the near future. Topics will continue to change to broaden a new member’s Rotary knowledge. Feel free to attend these meetings or the District Assemblies to learn more about Rotary. There is also a wealth of information available online.
